my first being a mom and ryan's first without his mom. i was anticipating a bitter sweet kinda day before it even began, so we more or less had an ordinary quiet sunday, just the 3 of us. my morning started with a present (a diaper) overflowing with love (not sure poop equates to love, but i was trying to throw a positive spin on the situation)... we let the man of the house sleep in while jayme and i shared some toast and coffee (i feel the need to clarify for those who are gonna have a smart comment about a baby and coffee- obviously only i had the coffee) and imagined the whole wheat to be an apple fritter... once daddy got up (8:30ish) jayme had a playmate while i got to work on my to-do list starting with dinner in the crock-pot (chicken tacos), laundry, dishes, vacuuming, crafting shower decorations and phone calls. fast forward to an afternoon nap (both mom and baby)... when i woke up i found the most precious card and treat waiting for me at the bedroom door!
overall it was a special day in that it was ordinary, uneventful (sometimes that's a good thing!), and just the 3 of us relaxing in pj's all day.

No seriously I NEVER get to. But thankfully my in-laws took the kids overnight for a perfect mother's day gift..SLEEP! Too bad I woke at 6:30 anyways!

I can just picture Ryan sitting @ your little craft station, being a little kid and making a card with Jayme... So sweet!
even if she didn't do any of it (he says she did while he held her hand over the crayon) i LOVE the sentiment!
